2010 Round 6 Phillip Island: 1st place in class.
2010 Round 5 Winton: DNS
After changing mechanics the car was on the verge of being put on the trailer for Winton, the dyno run was the last thing to be done. Well luck was not on Paul’s side, the new ECU installed only the day before froze on the final dyno run putting him out of competing @ Winton
2010 Round 4 Sandown: DNF
After finally getting the car repaired for Sandown getting the corolla on the dyno at 5.00pm Friday was not the ideal start. With the modification to the intake the car was running too lean. After competing in race 1 and not being able to get the most out of the engine the car was put back on the trailer with a disappointed driver.

2010 Round 2 Phillip Island: DNS
Paul was unable to have the Corolla back together in time to compete @ Round two. He was extremely disappointed but explains that when you own & run a business (funds all of Paul’s racing) and you are the main mechanic/panel beater etc it is sometimes to demanding to be able to attend every race if damage has occurred, also asking his father Greg consistently to help out is also to demanding.
2010 Round 5 Winton: 2nd Place in class
Race 1: Paul had another consistent start to the year with a second place in class with qualifying & beating several cars from higher classes although struggling with the new suspension and gearbox set up. He was disappointed with himself after having an small altercation with Rai Curry on the first corner on the first lap after several cars in front were facing the wrong way. With only minor panel damage and now in last place Paul continued to race with no chance of catching anyone in the 6 lap race.
Race 2: Was virtually a replica of race one, with Paul improving by nearly two seconds from race 1 though still very unhappy with the cars performance and unable to keep the pace of Peter Pauling in the AE92 Corolla. He was disappointed in his times but happy to record second place in class.
Race 3: With the first two laps Paul was looking a little more settled than races 1 & 2 until on lap three Rob Thompson tried to pass Paul @ turn 10 and clipped the front left side of Paul’s car to send them both spinning from the track, once finally back on the track it was a lonely race to the finish line.
Race 4: Yet again Paul did not have the best car set up and was clearly frustrated at the work completed over the summer break was still not sorted and the car was clearly slower than all previous visit’s to Winton. Paul was still keeping the pace and beating several cars from higher classes and took second place in class, though was still disappointed with the weekends racing.

2009 Nationals Phillip Island:
Qualifying-Odd Numbers: With 98 cars entered the field of entries was fantastic. All qualifying sessions were wet and Paul qualified 13th in his group of 44 cars to be 36th out of the 90 cars left on the track with the only other 1.6L car out there only 0.2 of a second quicker, not bad for a 1600cc car with the amount of horsepower behind him (Paul loves the rain).
Qualifying-Fastest 50%: With the sun shining (for an hour or two) the track had dried Paul struggled to keep pace with the powerful RWD cars. He finished qualifying 84th of 90 qualifiers.
Heat 2: With a dry track the 1.6L was again out-powered on the “horsepower” track. Paul started 41st though with Stephen Thompson beening a little over excited as he tried to squeeze between Sean Bell & Brett Dickie, clipped Sean Bell which then pushed Stephen into Paul and a domino effect off Paul rubbing panels with Peter Hogan, Paul then move ahead and a few places and the few that had a DNF, he finished 33rd of 43 starters & 62nd in the points of 88 cars left, still a great effort with several V6 & V8′s behind him.
Heat 4: The rain returned again and was a great helping hand for the under-powered 1.6L. Paul started 37th and endured climbing through the field to finish in 19th of 41 cars & 49th in the points of 75 cars still fighting.
Heat 5: While the showers kept coming Paul was enjoying the field being brought back with the weather. Paul started 25th to finish 21st of 37 competitors.
Repechage Race:There were 36 cars ready to fight for the top four positions that were going through to the Matthew Flinders Plate. The pre-grid race start was a mess from the officials with the track drying and time wasted really hindered Paul’s chance to finish in the top four. Paul started 6th on the grid with what should have been a wet track and had been consistantly faster than at least five drivers that finished in front of him. To finish 9th was great effort.
The Matthew Flinders Plate: The outright winner from 49 entries that made it to the final for 2010 was James Atkinson 6.0L VX Commodore.
2009 Round 6 Phillip Island: 1st place in class
Race 1: With the feral weather being kind to the 1.6 litre front wheel drive of Paul’s car. Paul had a great race moving up 10 positions in the field. He had a great duel with Micheal Stillwell in his 2.5litre BMW E30 and Niel Crowe in his Holden Commodore 5.7 litre, it was great racing through the back of the circuit with Paul being able to pass both vehicles and have a small lead, though on the straight he would bet passed by both just before the start/finish line and was left for dead, he would make ground through turns 1-3 and at turn four he would pass them both again. He won class and thanks to the weather was able to beat the 6.0 litre commodore of Jason Jarvis.
Race 2: With a great grid position to start the race the weather was starting to clear and favour the rear wheel drives. It was a great race until the fourth lap with Paul’s car starting to overheat. It looks like a blown head gasket so another weekend of repairs lies ahead of Paul and his one man crew ( his Father Greg).
Race 3: DNS
2009 Round 5 Winton: DNF
Race 1: With a great start to the weekend in pratcie and qualifying it was cut short on lap three Paul lost third gear in his gearbox and with Winton being a short track it was useless to proceed.
Race 2: DNS
Race 3: DNS
2009 Round 4 Sandown: 1st place in class
Race 1: It was a disapointing start to the round with a DNF, Paul qualified first in class and yet again beating cars higher class and even a class A car. The DNF was caused by the hatch not being retained correctly and flying open on the fourth lap.
Race 2: With a personal best lap time the race was a good one dicing with cars with double the capacity, he won his class only to beaten by a 3.4 litre car by 6 tenths of a second.
Race 3: Another good race dicing with the 3.4 litre turbo Astra, Paul’s 1.6 litre Corolla was only beaten by a second, yet again he won class.
Race 4: The Holden Astra was coming to terms with set up and left Paul behind, he was still beating cars higher in class and won his class again. Another outright class victory.
2009 Round 3 Sandown: 1st place in class
Race 1: This round saw IPRA having to merge class with BMW E30 as of the lack of BMW’s. It was a good race with Paul beating nearly half of the 2.5litre BMW’s though the race was cut 1 lap short due to an accident, Paul won his class.
Race 2: Nearly identiacl to race one Paul had a great race yet againg winning his class.
Race 3: Was an exicting race until one the BMW’s driver was driving with his eyes closed and ran into a stationary BMW. It was a bad race as a CV joint broke on lap 7 so Paul was unable to finish the race.
Race 4: Another great race on the verge of darkness Paul after starting last on the grid due the DNF of race 3 he was able to pass enough cars to take out a class win.
2009 Round 2 Phillip Island: 1st place in class
Race 1: With a slightly damp track Paul had a great race beating cars higher in class and only losing to a 4.2 litre commodore by 0.5 of a second and he took first place in class.
Race 2: Not a good start with leaving the track on the second lap at turn two trying to pass on the outside, Paul still clawed back to beat cars higher in class and to take first place in class.
Race 3: With the track drying rapidly Paul left the car with a wet set up and paid the price, he still won his class but was unable to annoy anyone in a higher class.
2009 Round 1 Winton: 2nd place in class
Race 1: A great start to the year with a win in class and beating several cars from higher classes.
Race 2: Was an exciting race with close racing with Lauren Gray, with Paul being passed on the last lap to record second place in class.
Race 3: Paul did not have the best car set up and was lapping alone and unable to keep the great pace set by Lauren Gray and took second place in class.
Race 4: Yet again Paul did not have the best car set up, but was keeping the pace with several cars from higher classes and took second place in class. .
